The scene is set at a Basketmaker II site where the storage cists have been constructed against the back wall of the rock shelter so that they partially cover the rock paintings. The painting is based on an actual site in Canyon del Muerto, Arizona, and the storage cists are radiocarbon dated at AD 350.
